Alhamdulillah! 🌟 Another successful surgery by the team of Paediatric Surgeons and Paediatric Urology Specialists at Children Surgical Hospital, Sialkot. A 4-year-old child was referred to Children Surgical Hospital with a history of recurrent urinary tract infections, resulting in recurrent inflammation and damage to the kidneys. After initial investigations and medical management, a detailed evaluation was performed. The child was diagnosed with urinary outflow obstruction due to Posterior Urethral Valves (PUVs), associated with left-sided hydroureteronephrosis and Grade IV vesicoureteral reflux. Considering the functional capacity of the left kidney, endoscopic evaluation and valve ablation were planned. Alhamdulillah, the procedure was successfully performed. The child recovered well post-operatively, showed significant clinical improvement, and was discharged from the hospital. A plan for regular follow-up and monitoring in the OPD has been advised.
